Mission 1:27 Project – 2nd Edition
It was just 3 short months ago that we launched our Widows Project with our first installment. It seems like time flies but that is not the case for those in need. After the first installment of the Widows Project, we took a look at the calendar and began to plan for the 2nd installment of the Widows Project. It was very important to us to be very consistent with our assistance to the widows and widowers in Igosun.
In today’s economy, food is very expensive and has become a great need. With that in mind, we set out to minimize the impact of hunger for these widows and widowers. We distributed 5kg/11lb bags of Semolina to 246 individuals. All the recipients were so grateful and thankful for the event and the distribution of food. As you pass through to look at the pictures from the event, you will see many different people with the microphone praying and giving thanks for what they received.
It was truly a touching and joyous occasion. Many of them, without stopping home to drop off their food, walked directly to the home of Mrs. Ruth Ebunlomo Olagunju, our honoree, to thank her for all that they are experiencing in her name. We are so grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate our motto, “Blessed to be a blessing!” It really is true that it is more blessed to give than to receive. The joy of giving is immeasurable! A very special thank you to the Implementation Committee, Board of Trustees and our donors. None of this would be possible without each of you! It is our prayer that God will reward you according to His riches in glory.
